Happy projects for 2018

2018 is going to be a very special year for the Zorrotzaurre project.

One in which the works to open the Deusto Canal are going to conclude and hence the current peninsula will become an island, one of the major milestones anticipated in the process for regenerating this district of Bilbao, through which the risk the area flooding in the future will be reduced.

But furthermore, many other activities are scheduled for 2018: Urbanisation work will commence on the right-hand bank of the Deusto Canal (San Ignacio area); ongoing building of the first new homes in the plan will continue; the reform work on the currently existing buildings will be concluded; DigiPen, the videogame university will move to Zorrotzaurre and begin delivery of its vocational training courses in the reformed Beta 1 building; adaptation works on the Beta 2 building will be finished and it is here where the As Fabrik training and enterprise project will be transferred; the Paper Mill (Papelera) building will be opened for use in cultural activities and events; and many more activities that will gradually shape Zorrotzaurre as one of the districts will the greatest possibilities for economic and social development in Bilbao.

Hence, in 2018, which is going to be such a special year for Zorrotzaurre, we would like to wish all our readers a very happy and prosperous new year, in which all their personal and professional projects are carried out as successfully and creatively as possible.
